The 3rd week was heavy. We faced the first serious downswings, a 150BB and a 100BB with a remarkable recovery in between. Well, overall a winning week again with a final result of $99.60, being 2.19BB/100.
The 150BB downswing was a very long session on one day. So once in a downswing like this it's very hard to get out of it and one starts playing looser and looser, getting a bit tilty. So it's a must to implement some rules when facing such a downswing.
In the previous weeks we were down over 50BB sometimes but always recovered from that in the same session. It looks like the borderline is 75BB, once over there it's very hard to recover within the same session. That idea was confirmed in the last session of the week where we went over a loss of 75BB, played many more hands but did not recover and ended with a negative of almost 100BB.
In the weekly graph we see the two bigger downswings but overal still running great. We played 1K hands more this week, a few sessions at 4 tables the same time and that felt ok. More hands also means more FPP's, more FPP bonus and we even might reach Platinum Star level...
We did not take enough time for reading and watching vids this week so we should create some detailed rules to follow for that too. Let's start with something like this:
- Quit the session when reaching 75BB negative
- Quit the session when reaching 180 minutes playing time
- Reading at least 1 chapter of a selected poker book a week
- Watching at least 1 training video a week
Rules will be applied from now and reviewed in the coming weeks. More rules might follow...
